Roland and Gail Levi created the Six Tables concept of fine dining restaurantsTHE SIX TABLES STORY

The Six Tables restaurant was conceptualized by Chef Roland Levi and his wife Gail. Chef Roland is a native of Belgium. He did his culinary training in Brussels at the Ecole Culinaire des Arts et Metiers.

Gail and Roland have worked in the food industry as personal Chefs for the past 15 years, two of which they spent working for Ms. Brooke Astor in New York City. During their career, they have had the distinction of serving Lee Iacocca, Tip O'Neill, Margaret Thatcher, Princess Diana (in the Hamptons), and several former US Presidents among a long list of distinguished others.

Before leaving Manhattan and settling in Florida, they worked in the residence of Mr. John Clay of Clay Finlay Investment Banking. He converted the 3rd floor of his 5-story brownstone on Park Avenue into a private 'dining area' where he could receive his guests and clients on a six-course meal.

It was at that time that Roland and Gail really first had the idea to someday open a very intimate six-course dinner restaurant.

Roland and Gail opened the Dunedin restaurant (pictured at left) in April of 1998 with very little promotion. They simply opened their doors on Main Street to friends and family, and let word of their multi-course dinner spread throughout the area.

They were so successful within their first year that they decided to grow into a second restaurant location in Largo. The Largo restaurant opened in November of 1999.

The next restaurant Six Tables Tampa (pictured at left) was born of the continued desire of Roland and Gail to expand, met with the Culinary Talents by Chef Richard Bottini. Richard, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, has been the Chef to Six Tables Tampa since October of 2003.

. . . AND FURTHER...

We are proud to have Six Tables- Penninsula Inn as the anchor fine dining restaurant of the prestigious Penninsula Inn and Spa in Gulfport, Florida.

The Six Tables vision caught the attention of another husband and wife in Gulfport: Jim and Alexandra Kingzett. The Kingzett's have an extensive background in the real estate market. It was in the course of their renovating an historic building in the Arts District of Gulfport when they selected Six Tables to be the anchor restaurant to their establishment. This additional sister restaurant of Six Tables opened in October of 2002.

The subject of countless accolades, Six Tables is consistently named as one of Florida's top fine-dining restaurants. The renowned Zagat Survey rates our food as extraordinary (26) and our service as near perfection (28), a distinction unsurpassed in metro Tampa/St. Petersburg.

Jonathan Fyhrie, whom is also Gail's first cousin, recently joined this family of fine restaurants, opening the newest sister location Six Tables Boca Raton at Mizner Plaza Shopping Center (pictured at left). Jonathan has nearly thirty years of experience in the restaurant industry, most recently as an executive with the Steamboat and Park City ski resorts, overseeing all restaurant operations. The Boca Raton location opened in late May 2004 and has become as popular with locals as well as seasonal visitors.
